YO! I been meaning to blog about both Big Dylan and The Crunchy Kids for a minute, cause they are both all types of raw. Conveniently, they are playing a show this saturday at the cabooze. More info here about the lineup ect here
BIG DYLAN, Public Enemy # 1001, has mad word play, and he puts ON for the TC in his verses in very creative ways. He’s not just screamin “Southside, MPLS!” into the mic like a lot of local rappers, he’s “Pumpin’ Heat from the heart of the Beast.” Also, Dylan is a funny cat, you might laugh out loud a couple of times. He’s got a diverse style, plus he grinds hard – i’m pretty sure he does at least a show a week (not bad for a 19 year old). So if you aren’t old enough to see him on saturday, follow him @DylanLP to see when the next all ages is
THE CRUNCHY KIDS is made up of former parallax members and is a dope dope DOPE band to see live cause they use real instruments, as opposed to imaginary ones. They interact with the crowd very well, they jam, they get buck, and they arent afraid to build the beat right before your eyes. This sounds kind of lame but they are a total breath of fresh air. If you dig hip hop bands with funky bass, hot keys, bangin drums, singin, dancin, and waggin then check theses kids out here
Come See what I’m talking bout saturday at the cabooze.

But as I read article after article about how “these kids are way a head of their time and they don’t even know it yet” I shake my head.
